Hundreds more toddlers have been enjoying picnics in the sun today following the second Barnardo’s Big Toddle here at DZG.

After completing the short walk around the zoo site passing newest arrivals Makalu and Kito on the way – the families, playgroups and nursery groups headed back to the courtyard of the 11th century Dudley Castle to receive their medals at the finish line and tuck into their lunches.

DZG Marketing Assistant, Andrea Hales, said: “We have had another great day with the second Barnardo’s Big Toddle of the week, with around 500 people taking part.
“The weather has been glorious and lots of visitors took advantage of this and sat down to some delicious looking picnics on the castle lawn.”
A further Big Toddle will take place next Tuesday (June 17).
