DZG’s summer opening hours are now in full flow meaning visitors have more time to see their favourite animals.
Visitors can now gain entry from 10am until 4pm, with the 40-acre site closing between 5.30-6pm.
Apprentice Keeper Ellis Robinson, pictured with Brazilian tapir Meena, said: “It will be great to have more daylight hours, which gives the animals more time outside and we have chance to get extra jobs done.”
Curator Matt Lewis said we would always review closing times according to the weather and would stay open as long as possible on sunny days to make sure people spent as much time as possible with their favourites.
The longer opening hours will remain in place until September, when last admission will revert to 3pm.
