More fox kits!

Arctic foxes, Grace and Spruce, have welcomed their second litter of kits!

The babies have just started to venture outside in the paddock from the underground burrows, where they were born around six weeks-ago.

Keepers have so far counted five kits out and about, but as litter sizes can vary, more could appear!

DZC Carnivore Section Leader, Sam Grove, said: “It’s wonderful to have another litter of fox kits this year and Grace and Spruce are continuing to take parenthood in their stride with their newest offspring.”

Three-year-old Grace arrived at DZC in November 2022, while Spruce, aged two, joined her in May 2023.
