Marking World Juggling Day

dzg_juggle_web_1We’re celebrating World Juggling Day with DZG’s own unique jugglers – our Asiatic short-clawed otters!

Assistant Curator Richard Brown, said: “Asiatic short-clawed otters have partially-webbed paws which give them an excellent sense of touch and co-ordination. They love picking up small objects such as pebbles or bits of carrot that we feed them and playing with them between their paws, which really does look like they’re juggling.”

If you’re on site today why not stop by the otter enclosure at 1pm and discover more about our six Asiatic short-clawed otters during the daily talk and if you’re lucky you may even see them juggling!
