Close friends Isla Blankley and Amelia Smith made sure they had a memorable time as Dudley Zoo keepers – because they’ll soon be living on other sides of the world!
Isla from Leicester, pictured above left, and Amelia from Northampton, pictured on the right, were treated to the Little Zoo Keeper experience to mark two significant occasions in their families.
One was Isla’s eighth birthday and the other was to give the girls, whose mums are cousins, a special memory as Amelia and her family are emigrating to Australia next week.
Amelia’s mum Roxanne said: “They both had a fantastic time and their favourite part was feeding the penguins.
“It really was a special day for them and when they met up again a couple of days later they couldn’t stop chattering about the experience.
“And my other daughter Lydia joined in too, sharing her memories of when she did the same thing at Dudley a couple of years ago.
“It was a lovely thing for Isla and Amelia to do together and a way of creating a wonderful memory that will stay with them.
“If Isla and her family get chance to come and see us in Brisbane it would be wonderful for the girls to repeat the experience together at Australia Zoo, home of the Crocodile Hunter!”
Glad you had a special time at DZG girls!
