Love Your Zoo Week Success

Hundreds of young visitors left their hearts at DZG during Love Your Zoo Week.

Youngsters wrote individual messages on heart-shaped cards to hang on our I Love DZG tree in the Discovery Centre –  with a helping hand from Sarah Redding, pictured above – when they joined half-term craft sessions.

And a heart trail around the zoo, plus talks and feeds and Love Your Zoo drawing and colouring sessions at the Farm Barn and Discovery Centre made sure there was plenty to entertain young visitors as they dodged late spring showers.   Head of Media and Communications, Jill Hitchman said: “We had a really busy week, particularly in the Discovery Centre where the Love Tree had so many messages we ran out of space.”
