When orang utan Jorong wants to go back inside his internal enclosure he certainly makes sure his keepers know!
The mischievous male repeatedly bangs on the metal door leading from the outdoor enclosure into the internal den until keepers relent and let him back in.
Assistant curator, Richard Brown, said: “Jorong really pounds on the door with his fists. Sometimes his banging is so loud we can hear him at the other side of the zoo.”
The commotion also leads female, Jazz, to peek through the mesh between enclosures as she tries to investigate where all that noise is coming from.
