Lemurs off to college!

Nine of our male ring-tailed lemurs have left DZG for a new home at Rodbaston College.

weblemursoffHead of Upper Primates Pat Stevens, pictured saying goodbye to the lemurs, said the boys would help students at the college learn more about lemurs as part of their animal care qualifications.

Senior Keeper Sophie Dugmore said Scotty, Fianar, Revel, Caramel, Lucky, Lokobe, Eddy, Percy and Sid would be well looked after at the Staffordshire college.

She said: “The boys will be something new for the students to work with and will get plenty of attention.

“Since the males have left we’ve moved our breeding group of ring-tailed lemurs into Lemur Wood.”

So long lads! Enjoy your new homes!
