The launch of a website offering recycling tips got a helping hand from a lively little ‘helper’ in Lemur Wood!
Black and white ruffed lemur, Yoda, was eager to get in on the action for Dudley Council’s new service which will enable residents across the borough to recycle plastic bottles and cardboard from their homes by spring 2014.
The site http://recycling.dudley.gov.uk, contains scheme info, collection details and ways to reduce waste.
Current deals also include savings at DZG, Ruskin Glass Centre, Castle and Crystal credit union and Dudley Council leisure centres with other local businesses expected to sign up soon.
DZG CEO Peter Suddock pictured with Yoda and Cllr Tracy Wood, cabinet member for environement and culture said: “The scheme offers some great advice on recycling, a subject we keenly promote at DZG, and we’re hoping folks will sign up to the project and take advantage of the deal to come along and say hello to Lemur Wood’s very own little recycler!”
