Knight to remember!

Visitors could be in for a knight to remember as our first Dudley Castle tour of the year zooms in on knights and armour.

There’s just over two weeks to go until the exclusive after hours talk and tour takes place around the 11th century castle at the heart of DZG – and there’s still time to sign up.

The tour, led by former Castle Keeper Adrian Durkin (pictured), takes place on April 5 at 6.30pm, when people can learn more about the colourful history of the castle.

Marketing manager Andrea Hales said: “This is the first of our Castle talks and tours for 2018 and anyone with a passion for history is in for a real treat.

“It will be a family friendly evening where you can learn more about Medieval and Tudor times and the weapons used in those periods.”

Tours last around two hours and are suitable for both adults and children over eight. The cost is £4 per adult, £2 for a child (8-15 years) or £10 for a family ticket (valid for two adults and two children).

Pre-booking is required online or by calling 01384 215313 and all funds raised from these tours go towards the ongoing upkeep and restoration of the Castle.
