Job well done, Jared!
It was a job well done for Jared O’Neil, who’s been named our latest Employee of the Month.
Jared, who joined us just over a year ago on an apprenticeship scheme, has not only impressed zoo bosses with his attitude and skills, recently receiving a permanent job offer as a Trainee Keeper here, but he’s also discovered he’s aced his apprenticeship qualifications with a distinction too!
Birds Section Leader, Nicola Wright, who nominated Jared for the monthly accolade, said: “Since joining us on the bird department, he’s become a confident keeper who has demonstrated outstanding skills for an apprentice. He’s been a pleasure to have on the section.”
Jared was awarded a certificate and a gift voucher from the zoo’s management team in thanks.
Congratulations are also sent to Media and Communications Officer Rachel Hickman and Customer Services Team Member Abby Staniland, who both received this month’s notable achievement awards.
