South Staffs teenager, Jessica Brookes, joined Dudley Zoo crew for a week during work placement from Wolverhampton Grammar School.
Sixteen-year-old Jessica, of Stourton, spent time with Keepers, Marketing, Retail and Press Office throughout the week.
She shadowed keeping staff for two days, including work on the farm and primates sections, plus birds and big cats.
Head of Media and Communications, Jill Hitchman, said:?”It’s very rare that we take on students for a week-long placement, particularly across all sections, but Jessica really did her homework and impressed us with her approach.
“She worked hard throughout her week and received compliments from all of the sections where she worked.”
Jessica said:?”I really enjoyed my time at DZG. It was hard work and I?was tired at the end of each day, but I loved it.”
