Jennifer Williams had a brilliant time when she turned keeper here at DZG.
The 22-year-old from Kettering was treated to the Keeper For a Day experience by her parents for Christmas, after they were intrigued by a zoo built in the grounds of an 11th century castle.
During her day Jennifer shadowed the site’s keeping staff and care for some of the world’s rarest animals.
Jennifer said: “I thought the day was brilliant. I really enjoyed it. I got the opportunity to meet lots of different animals and the keepers gave me plenty of information about them.
“My favourite part of the day was meeting the lemurs that sat on my shoulder. I also found the orang utans really interesting and I loved feeding the giraffes.”
