The adorable bundle, the offspring of mum, four-year-old Nanga, and dad, three-year-old Margaash, is the first snow leopard cub to be born at DZG in 12 years.

Her name means fearless in Hindi.

DZG Head of Media and Communications Jill Hitchman said: “Staff are delighted with Nidara who is making excellent progress.

“She has become quite a star and has already made headlines around the world – everyone just loves her.”

The big cat cutie was nicknamed Cub X at birth by keepers who had to wait until yesterday’s inoculations were administered to discover if they had a boy or girl on the section!

Following last week’s bumper 3,600 crowds curators will be putting on extra staff at the enclosure throughout the weekend to cope with visitors eager to get their first glimpse of the youngster.
