Newly-weds Robin and Christina Burrows tied the knot in Dudley and then treated their wedding guests to an afternoon at DZG.
The new bride and groom, pictured above, arranged for 45 members of their wedding party to spend the afternoon of Saturday August 15 visiting our animals and the 11th century Dudley Castle at the heart of the zoo.
The happy couple, from Oldbury, got married in the Singing Cavern at Dudley Canal Trust at 11am and, after lunch at The Station Hotel, the new Mr and Mrs and their guests headed into our 40-acre attraction in all their finery.
Robin said: “Everyone had a fantastic day and really enjoyed the zoo.
“I was planning to keep the trip to the zoo as a surprise for Christina but I told her in the end and made sure she had her flat shoes packed for the visit.
“She was thrilled we spent part of our wedding day at the zoo. Some friends came from Australia for the occasion and they really loved seeing the animals during our special day too.”
The pair ended the day with a party back at The Station Hotel and will be jetting off to Majorca next month for their honeymoon.
Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Burrows from everyone at DZG!
