High life for employment staff

Staff at a Black Country employment and training group sampled the high life when they raised funds for DZG.

dzg_pertemps_5Workers from Dudley’s Pertemps People Development Group (PPDG), in King Street, donated £305 to the zoo as part of their community support scheme – and employment coaches Lesley Ozwell and Claire Peake got to meet a rare male Rothschilds giraffe when they handed over their donation!   Lesley said: “We pass the zoo on our way to work, it’s somewhere we all take for granted, but I didn’t appreciate that it was an educational charity with such a focus on animal conservation   “I made a suggestion to our payroll giving scheme and was delighted when the contribution was agreed.`’    She added: “When you talk of Dudley everyone mentions the zoo and going back there brought back so many memories.”   DZG’s Head of Media and Communications, Jill Hitchman, said: “We’re very grateful for the generous donation from Pertemps.    “We are immensely lucky to have such loyal supporters and their interest in Dudley Zoo and Castle is much valued.   “The funds will support our vital conservation programmes with some of the world’s rarest species.”

dzg_pertemps_5That’s a tall order! PPDG employment coaches, Lesley Ozwell and Claire Peake, hand over a £305 donation from workers at Dudley’s King Street office to DZG Marketing Assistant, Andrea Hales.
