Zoo Director Derek Grove, said: “2017 saw DZG celebrating its 80th anniversary and we had a busy year of redevelopments as we brought older enclosures up to date.

“This year we’re continuing to carry out improvements to the zoo which will hugely benefit our animals and visitors and with new species coming in, we’re looking forward to another exciting year ahead.”
