When it comes to attracting the opposite sex, you have to look your best at all times.
And Rowena the reindeer obviously thought a fancy hat made out of hay might do the trick with the boys in the paddock.
Trainee Keeper, Jo Turner, said: “Female reindeers come into season from around August to October, when they will mate with the males.
“Rowena was either taking a very direct approach at getting their attention or was trying to hide from their view by covering her head and face in the hope they wouldn’t spot her.
“Either way, she made me giggle when I went into the paddock and spotted her!
“We’ll have to wait until Easter to see if her hat worked, when it will be the time for any new babies to be born.”
