Happy Birthday, Nanga!

We’re wishing our female snow leopard, Nanga, a very happy 7th birthday today.

The postman delivered cards aplenty for the birthday girl this morning, which we’ll read out to Nanga later today!

Big Cat Keeper, Sarah Evans, said: “Nanga is lovely cat with a great character.

“She’s quite playful and loves stalking, especially Makalu and us keepers!

“Her favourite food is chicken, so we’ll make sure she gets that for her big day, she deserves being spoilt!”

Thanks for all your comments about the forthcoming departure of Nanga’s son, Makalu, who’ll shortly be leaving us for a new adventure in the mountainous range of India – the native region for the species.

We’re still awaiting final confirmation of his leaving date – but you’ll have a few more weeks to see him yet!
