Jorong the Bornean orang utan is in for an extra special treat as he turns 20 today!
The orang will be tucking into a special cake topped with grapes made by keepers using primate friendly ingredients.
Upper Primates Section Leader, Pat Stevens, said: “We’ve made a cake using primate pellets, baby food and a probiotic drink which we think Jorong will lap up.
“And there should be plenty to share with the other orangs Benji, Jazz and his three-year-old daughter Sprout too.”
Primate keeper Sian Simner, pictured, helped create the cake by adding the grapes in the shape of the number 20.
If you’re on site today make sure you drop by the orang house and wish him many happy returns!
