Grey ‘ghost’ goes global

Our grey ‘ghost’ photograph sparked a global frenzy which saw Dudley Castle trending on social media worldwide!

dzg_grey_lady_2_2_0Our September 13 story about DZG visitors Dean and Amy Harper, who captured a grey lady ‘ghost’ in a shot of Dudley Castle on their mobile phone, has this week made print, radio, online and TV headlines across the UK and overseas including New York, China, India, Italy and Australia!

Head of Media and Communications, Jill Hitchman, said: “Dean and Amy emailed us the photographs following their visit on August 30, after noticing what appears to be a grey female figure in the doorway of the Sharington Range Tudor palace.

“We published the story and pictures on our website last month, but this week the Media and Communications office has been inundated with press calls about the images, and it went viral all over the world within 24 hours!

“Dudley Castle has even been the top trending subject across the world on Facebook for the last few days. It’s quite bizarre that they’re all looking at a ghostly figure here at DZG.”
