Good luck to the adventurous abseilers who will be tackling Dudley Castle today to raise funds for Sedgley-based Beacon Centre for the Blind!
More than 25 participants will be taking a leap of faith to descend the 70-foot 11th century tower at the heart of the zoological gardens to raise money for people across the Midlands living with sight loss.
DZG Head of Media and Communications, Jill Hitchman, said: “We wish all participants the best of luck today. Hopefully the weather will remain bright so that they can also all enjoy the panoramic views across the Midlands from the top of the keep.”
Beacon Centre for the Blind Fundraising and Events Officer, Kelly Vickers, said: “We’re always looking for fun and different ways to raise money for the charity and we’re sure this daunting challenge will be successful.”
