A Kingswinford schoolgirls giraffe cake was the stand-out winner of DZGs baking competition to win an animal adoption pack.
Eleven-year-old Emily Flockhart cooked up the impressive giraffe cake with the help of her mum Nicky Reynolds and was delighted to be selected as our winner.
Zoo Director Derek Grove picked out the winning cake and said he was amazed by all the wonderful pictures of delicious bakes which had been submitted.
He said: Big congratulations to Emily who made a beautiful giraffe cake with great attention to detail.
The only disappointment was not getting to taste any of the cakes! They all looked good enough to eat!
Her mum Nicky said: Emily was thrilled to have won and really enjoyed entering the competition.
She was allowed to choose which animal she adopted as her prize and, after much deliberation, she has gone for Inca bear.
“She is so excited and is looking forward to visiting the zoo soon.
Well done Emily You are DZG’s star baker!
