Looking for a challenge to raise money for a chosen charity or funds to support conservation projects at DZC? There are many opportunities to hold your fund-raising event with us.
From abseiling down the castle, a sponsored walk around the zoo or being brave enough to stay overnight in one of Britain’s most haunted locations we can work together in partnership to assist with your fund-raising goals. Unfortunately we cannot support individuals for fund-raising events, only groups of a minimum 50 people and the fund-raising must be related to a registered charity that relates to our own mission.
Communities & Schools
‘One of DZC’s supporters, Charlotte Eggington of Great Barr has raised more than £350 for the Zoo from many projects including the sale of friendship bracelets. Get your school or community group involved to support conservation. Fundraising is a great way to bring people of all ages together to raise money and awareness for a good cause. All the money raised goes back into animal welfare and conservation projects here at the zoo.
We can assist with your fund-raising activities by bringing some animals out to your school or group and provide raffle prizes.
Here’s some fun ideas for your event:
- sponsored skip, fun run or bounce!
- table top sale
- pop idol contest
- sponsored silence or sponsored spell
- fancy dress day
- name the bear competition.
Charity of the Year
You can nominate Dudley Zoo & Castle as your Charity of the Year and help support our conservation work. We can help you by providing visits to your place of work with some of our animals, raffle prizes and PR opportunities.
For further information please contact the Marketing Team on 01384 215313.
As a visitor attraction, we like to support our local community and organisations in the area.
As a not-for-profit registered charity ourselves, we do monitor the number of free admission ticket requests that we issue.
Therefore, to manage the amount of requests for raffle prizes we receive, we have put the following criteria in place:
- Tickets will only be issued to local charities and organisations within a 30 mile radius.
- We only donate tickets directly to registered charities and local organisations, ie, not to third parties holding events on behalf of other nominated charities or causes.
- Only one prize will be given to successful organisations in any 12 month period.
- Due to the amount of requests we receive, only successful organisations will be notified.
Please give a minimum of 30 days to send your application before your event for it to be considered.
Please submit your request by printing the form below, completing it, and then scanning and emailing it back to us. If your request is successful, we will notify you by email. You will then need to send us a copy of your form along with a stamped addressed envelope for us to post the ticket back to you.
If your application is successful, you will receive two child tickets to Dudley Zoo. We do not offer family tickets as prizes.
