Funding success
As part of our conservation mission to connect the wider community with nature, we’re delighted to have secured funding from the UK government, through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, to deliver an exciting new initiative here at the zoo.

We’ve partnered with Dudley Council, to provide ‘Coffee, Cake and Castle Hill’ – a brand new free community coffee morning, which will offer residents a chance to meet in a welcoming space and learn more about the natural and man-made history of our local area.
We’ll be revealing more about the coffee morning tomorrow, but as part of our launch, our team are out and about this week meeting shoppers in Dudley Town Centre with an exhibition entitled ‘A History of Castle Hill’.
Come and see us outside Iceland in the Churchill Precinct, we’re there until Friday from 10am until 4pm and find out more about the geological history of Castle Hill, its role in medieval Britain, its relevance to Dudley and its history as a visitor attraction and conservation charity.
*The UK Shared Prosperity Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills.
