From Madagascar to DZG!

X-Factor 2016 winner Matt Terry came face-to-face with our colony of Humboldt penguins, but it was his puppet co-stars who caught our birds’ attention!

The singer, who was joined by some of his fellow cast members of Madagascar the Musical took time out of their tour to visit DZG ahead of their stop-off at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre next month.

And we organised a special meet and greet with our penguins for our VIP guests, who went poolside to feed our colony their fishy lunch.

DZG Marketing Manager Andrea Hales, said: “It was our pleasure to welcome Matt Terry and the cast from Madagascar the Musical to DZG to hear about our ongoing conservation work with the threatened penguin species.

“And our 74-strong colony were particularly fascinated in coming face-to-face with their fabulous penguin puppets.

“We’re sure the show will be a great success when it arrives in Wolverhampton.”

Madagascar the Musical runs between May 7 – 11.
And we’re delighted to once again join forces with Wolverhampton Grand Theatre as official sponsors of this year’s pantomime, Dick Whittington.
