Gloucestershire pals Hannah Dunbar and Jemima Parry couldn’t stop grinning with excitement when they turned DZG keepers for the day.
Hannah was treated to the Keeper for the Day experience for her 21st birthday because of her love of giraffes and brought along her best friend Jemima, aged 22, who hopes to become a zoo keeper one day.
Trainee graphic designer Hannah, from Churchdown, said her favourite part was feeding the giraffes and they both loved feeding the penguins.
She said: “It was absolutely amazing. We just couldn’t stop grinning all day. We worked closely with keepers and helped clean and fed the giraffes which are my favourite animal. It was such a special day and a very memorable gift.”
