Wake up the Zoo

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to wake up some of the rarest animals in the world at one of the country’s busiest zoos?

We are offering an early morning guided tour giving visitors the opportunity to go behind the scenes and get close to a variety of exotic animals.

Follow the Keepers as they go about their daily duties of feeding, cleaning and caring for some of the rarest animals in the world and learn about the vital conservation work carried out at the award winning tourist attraction.  Animals vary and subject to change.

Wake up the Zoo tour lasts approx. 2 hours (starting at 8.45 am) and you are welcome to spend the remainder of the day on the Zoo at your leisure.

Cost: £49.50 per adult and £39.50 per child (minimum 8 years) including Zoo admission.

Finish your tour with a breakfast bap and hot drink in our Queen Mary Restaurant, included in the cost.

Important Information:-

Due to the hilly nature of the site, special arrangements must be pre-arranged for disabled guests and people with limited mobility.
You must stay with the tour guide at all times.
All visitors will be asked to arrive at the main zoo entrance located off the car park (post code DY1 4AL) by 8.30 am. 

The tour will commence from this point at 8.45 am once everyone has arrived.
Tickets are not valid in conjunction with any other offer or promotion. 

Tickets are non-refundable, non-exchangeable and have no cash value.  Zoo admission is included. 
Car parking costs £3.50 for the day.
