Guess what – just eight more sleeps until my first birthday!
I shall be one year old on March 11 and I am soooo excited.
It’s been a busy year in the tapir paddock for my mum Meena, dad, Chico and ugly brother Ronnie, but it’s been fun and now I’m looking forward to celebrating my big day with my favourite keepers (you know who you are) and visitors.
Most of you will remember I had lots of spots and stripes when I was born which my family in south America use for camouflage when they go into the rainforests.
All baby tapirs are born with them but thankfully, mine have nearly all disappeared and now my skin is a nice brown colour.
Pop in and say hello if you’re around this weekend and see for yourself.
CAPTIONS: Brazilian tapir, Tallulah, aged 11 months, 2 weeks and 6 days.
Baby Tallulah and mum, Meena, chase round the tapir paddock.
