As a registered charity, dedicated to conservation and education, we support a variety of projects across the globe.
We are building on these projects through our Conservation Strategy (2024-2027), which is a four-year roadmap outlining the necessary steps to achieve a series of ambitious conservation objectives, supporting threatened species across the globe.
Our mission is;
“To inspire and excite people in the natural world, in the history and geology of the site on Castle Hill, and to encourage and promote a better understanding of and support for the conservation of nature and our heritage.”
We will achieve our mission through committing fully to a series of goals, objectives and actions relevant to five focus areas:
🐾 Safeguarding Our Species – Caring for species for the benefit of in-situ & ex-situ conservation.
🧑🏻🤝🧑🏿 Building Our Conservation Community – Building a conservation community in Dudley through engagement and support.
💡 Sharing Our Knowledge – Building and sharing our collective knowledge through education, capacity building/training and research.
🏰 Celebrating Our Heritage – Celebrating the rich natural history and man-made heritage of the site and surrounding areas.
🌱 Investing In Our Future – Investing in our collective future while ensuring sustainable operation and responsible consumption throughout our site.
Our actions, throughout this strategy, will be guided by three key values;
🙏 Partnership – Our actions will be collaborative, utilising expertise from within the organisation and further afield.
❤️ Heart – We will be led by passion and heart. Our actions are fundamentally routed in ‘doing what is right to do.’
👨🏽⚕️ Health – We will act for the benefit of individual, population, community or ecosystem health.
