Easter eggsplorer

DZC is inviting visitors to become Jungle Eggsplorers this Easter.

We have a cracking variety of activities lined up for the holidays, including an interactive trail around the 40-acre site to hunt out the zoo’s most interesting egg-laying animals, while searching for giant eggs along the way.

An extended daily talks programme will shine the spotlight on a number of jungle animals in our 1,600-strong collection, including chimpanzees, orangutans and tigers and an interactive room in the Discovery Centre will focus on how dinosaurs evolved into birds, with activities including a fossil dig and touch tables.

Plus, there will also be an opportunity to view a historical collection of real bird eggs from the zoo’s archives, including the eggs of a few extinct species and for our younger visitors there will be Easter-themed colouring in the farm barn, where they will also be able to spot guinea pigs, rabbits and some of our more weird and wonderful critters!

DZC Marketing Manager, Andrea Hales, said: “We’ve got plenty planned for all the family, making a day out at Dudley Zoo and Castle an egg-cellent choice this Easter.”
