DZG is changing… and we’re proud to reveal a new logo ahead of our 80th year!
The new look encapsulates all the unique features that make us so special by reflecting our animals, Dudley Castle, the ancient wooded hillside and Modernist Tecton structures.
Designed in-house by the zoo’s Graphic Designer, Rachel Lane, the logo which is green, brown and grey in colour, features the iconic Tecton wave entrance, castle, foliage, hillside and a gibbon to represent our 1,500 strong animal collection.
Zoo Director Derek Grove, said: “We wanted a logo that people could easily recognise as being Dudley Zoo and Rachel’s design, which was voted for by our staff members, should do just that by incorporating all the important elements generally associated with the site.”
The new image will be rolled out across the 40-acre site in the coming months on new signage, staff uniforms, online on our website and social media sites, corporate literature, promotional material as well as on branded shop merchandise.
Graphic Designer, Rachel Lane, pictured with the new design, said: “It was a difficult brief to fulfil but I’m really pleased with how it’s come out and I look forward to seeing it in use.”
