DZG has sent £250 to help victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.
The money was raised through a fundraising tombola in the Safari Shop and matchfunded by DZG before being forwarded to the Philippines Typhoon Appeal.
DZG Finance Manager, Jonathan Ashfield, pictured above with Asiatic short-clawed otters, which are a native species to the Philippines, said: “After watching the horrific event unfold on our television screens on November 8 staff were very keen to do something to help.
“Visitors helped us raise £103 through the tombola, where they had the chance to win a selection of cuddly animal toys, DZG sweets and stationery items.
“DZG then match unded and rounded up the total to £250 which we have sent off to help international aid efforts in providing food and water and tarpaulin to the thousands of people made homeless by the typhoon.”
