DZG at press launch
Forty primary school children will be discovering what it takes to be a DZG zoo keeper at an event at Birmingham Library today.
Presenter Pam Midwood, pictured right, will be meeting pupils from Tipton Green and Oak Meadow School, Wolverhampton at the new city centre library as part of the launch event for Primary Futures West Midlands.
Pam said: “The aim of the event is to get children to realise the importance of English and maths, so I’ll be speaking to the pupils about the academic qualifications I obtained to get where I am today and the career path I’ve taken.
“I’ll also be taking along a few bio facts and DZG small critters for the children to meet, which will also help me to stress the importance of conservation.
“And I’ve been told to expect lots of questions from the audience, so I’m looking forward to it and hopefully I’ll be able to inspire a few budding zoologists!”
