Dragon arrives at DZG!

Dudley Zoo has taken delivery of a female Chinese water dragon which will be a perfect companion for our male.

The female was donated to the zoo by Matthew Ford who runs Specialist Wildlife Services, which transports a lot of our creatures, and an animal rehabilitation centre.

DZG Curator Richard Brown said: “The female is around 18 months old so is fully grown and measures about 18 inches long.

“Chinese water dragons are brilliant green and very striking to look at. We will look at breeding the pair in the future.”

Come and see the lovely new pair when you are next at DZG!
