When Michelle Fewster arrived from Kent to watch her sister Sophia be a DZG Keeper for the Day she instantly treated herself to an upgrade so she could get in on the action, too!
Michelle, aged 21, had come up with the gift idea for her 22-year-old animal-mad sister Sophia’s birthday.
But when they arrived from Sidcup, Michelle was so keen to get involved she decided to treat herself and upgraded to a joint keeper experience.
Sophia (above left) said it was an amazing gift and was made twice as nice as her sister was such a part of the special day.
She said: “Michelle knew I would love the experience as I am animal mad but when we got there she decided to treat herself and be a joint keeper for the day.
“It was amazing and we had a great time. I wish we could go back and do it all over again,” she said.
Sophia, a personal assistant, hopes one day to work with animals and said she especially loved the snow leopards.
It’s an unforgettable experience . . . meet some of the world’s rarest animals, learn about our international conservation projects and have a fabulous day shadowing keepers at Team DZG!
