Due to Covid-19 we have temporarily suspended our Education Programme and are therefore unable to offer school & group visits to the Zoo & Castle and also our range of workshops. We hope to be able to re-introduce our Education programme as soon as it safe to do so.
The workshops detailed in the following pages are from our 2019/20 programme and are for reference only. UPDATED 25/8/2020.
Self-Guided Zoo & Castle Visit @ £7.00 per child
If you would prefer a self-guided visit; a full programme of visitor talks and presentations are available throughout the day for your groups to attend. Details of these can be found on our website. If you would like advice on itineraries or walks around the zoo please feel free to contact us before your visit.
Animal Encounters Roadshow
Do you want to experience some of the Zoo’s smaller animals in your own classroom? Would your children like to get up close and personal with a wiggly snake or cuddle up with some of the fluffiest animals in the world? Would they like to find out how slimy a GIANT snail is and how tickly a hissing cockroach is on your hand! If the answer is a big YES, then we can bring the Zoo to your school with our Animal Encounters Roadshow.
