Due to Covid-19 we have temporarily suspended our Education Programme and are therefore unable to offer school & group visits to the Zoo & Castle and also our range of workshops. We hope to be able to re-introduce our Education programme as soon as it safe to do so.
The information detailed in the following pages is from our 2019/20 programme and is for reference only. UPDATED 25/8/2020.
Set in a 40 acre woodland hillside, our zoo surrounds an 11th century castle and is home to many of the world’s most endangered species. With our daily programme of talks and walk through animal exhibits including Lemur Wood, Castle Creatures and Lorikeet Lookout, Dudley Zoo is the ideal venue for a group “Discovery Day” out.
We offer discounted rates for groups of 10+ paying visitors
* one free adult per 10 paying visitors
In addition to the Zoo admission each child and leader will pay we can offer the following activities for your group:
Creature Feature in the Discovery Centre – £40
Face painting vouchers – £2 per child
Activity Bags (including DZC pencil, crayons, stickers, Kids Go Free Voucher and DZG Wildlife Detective activity booklet) – £1.50 per bag
Discovery Day Terms & Conditions:
Discovery Days must be pre-booked by completing a booking form. Activities are available for groups of 10+ children and are all subject to availability.
A £40 deposit will be required to confirm all bookings.
The £40 Creature Feature is for a minimum of 10, maximum of 30 children. Larger groups can be accommodated subject to availability and additional charges.

Bunk with the Beasts at Dudley Castle
Arrive from 6pm, your group can take part in two activities in the Castle Courtyard before camping down in the Castle visitor centre for the night. The following morning you can help to feed either the Meerkats or Sea Lions their breakfast.
