The pupils took part in a Habitats and Adaptations workshop in the Rainforest Room with Presenter Pam Midwood, where they heard all about the different habitats around the world and met some of the critters commonly found living in them.

During the session the children met and handled a chinchilla, a salamander, a bearded dragon and a hissing cockroach and discovered how the various species are cleverly adapted to suit their relevant habitat.

Following their session with Pam, the group then took part in a ghost walk around the 11th century Dudley Castle, with Presenter Dorrie Hall, where they heard all about the castle’s history and some of the ghostly characters thought to continue haunting the romantic ruins.
