Have you spotted our newest tropical addition to the Queen Mary aviary?
Dini, the green aracari, arrived at DZC at the end of last year, but has only recently headed outside to join the scarlet ibis, mandarin ducks, ringed teals and puna ibis.
One of the smallest members of the toucan family, green aracaris are so called because of their plumage colour, with dark green feathers on their back, wings and tail.
If you look closely, you’ll also notice she has a unique serrated edge on her multicoloured bill.
Make sure to visit her the next time you’re on site!
