It’s time to dig out those onesies and step out in style to help raise funds for one of the world’s most endangered big cats.
This year’s Onesie Walk is taking place on Saturday, May 7 and we’re raising funds to extend the enclosure for our very own snow leopard trio Makalu, Nanga and Margaash.
Head of Marketing, Andrea Hales, said: “Our Onesie Walk is returning for 2016 by popular demand.
“We want everyone to join in the fun and wear an animal-themed onesie or fancy dress and take part in our sponsored walk to help us fundraise for an enigmatic species.”
The event, around our 40-acre site, is open to all ages and offers participants a chance to see their favourite exotic animals on a 5km route.
All funds raised will be go towards DZG’s latest conservation project to extend our snow leopards’ home to include a new viewing area and platform.
Andrea added: “Our three snow leopards are one of our most popular big cats at DZG and we’re hoping to begin work on their new enclosure early next year.
“There is no minimum sponsorship requirement, but we’re encouraging everyone to raise at least £50 in sponsorship and every penny will be put towards the work.”
