Cuddles with a chinchilla
Danielle Fusco got up close and personal with her favourite animal, a chinchilla, when she became a DZG Little Keeper for the Day.
The schoolgirl from Bexley in Kent, pictured above with her mum Dianne, was given the experience for her eighth birthday.
As well as handling a chinchilla, Danielle also got to help look after rats, snakes and Brazilian tapirs.
Her mum Dianne Fusco said: “Danielle had a great time and enjoyed every part of the day, including mucking out the farm! She even got to cuddle her favourite animal, a chinchilla.
“We knew this experience would be an ideal birthday present for her as she loves animals and has been watching animal programmes on TV for years.
“She knows much more about animals than me and her dad so she had a fabulous day.”
