Friday the thirteenth will prove the luckiest date in the jazz diary as one of the biggest names on the UK’s Rhythm ‘n’ Blues scene hits DZG.
As part of the 28th Birmingham International Jazz and Blues Festival DZG?is hosting an evening with Ricky Cool and The Hoola Boola Boys on Friday, July 13.
One of the hottest frontmen in the business, Ricky and his unstoppable Hoola Boola Boys have toured with such greats as the legendary Jerry Lee Lewis.
They regularly play with Led-Zep legend Robert Plant, West Mids boogie-woogie giant Mike Sanchez, and supported Little Richard on his last UK tour.
Birmingham International Jazz & Blues Festival Organiser, Jim Simpson, said: “Ricky Cool is one of the great undiscovered talents of the West Midlands and never fails to give a top class act worthy of any international venue.”

The event will take place on Friday, July 13 starting at 7.30pm in the Queen Mary Suite.
Tickets costing £4.50 per adult and £3.00 per child (3-15 years) are available from the zoo’s Safari Gift Shop.
