HEALTH & SAFETY ADMINISTRATOR

Dudley Zoo & Castle are looking to recruit a part time health and safety administrator with NEBOSH accreditation to manage and promote good working practice across the organisation and ensure we are compliant with all relevant HSE legislation.

The position requires an enthusiastic person with a proactive approach who has experience in a similar role and is comfortable and confident working within a team, but who can also manage their workload independently.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Compiling, maintaining and updating risk assessments and health and safety policies
  • Maintain all health and safety records such as Legionella and asbestos reports
  • Carrying out site audits
  • Chairing internal health and safety meetings
  • Monitoring hot work and electrical permits as required

This is a part time position of 2, possibly 3 days per week and ideally suited to someone looking to reduce their current working hours. A flexible work pattern may be available if required.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.

CUSTOMER SERVICES TEAM MEMBER (OUTREACH)

Dudley Zoo & Castle are looking to recruit a seasonal Customer Services Team Member to attend a variety of outreach events representing Dudley Zoo.

Duties will be varied, to include face painting, small animal handling, selling stock and dressing as our mascot costume character. Relevant training will be given where required.

Educated to a minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in Maths and English, with previous customer service and cash handling experience an advantage.

Successful candidates will be available to work weekends, bank holidays and additional days as required.

Applicants for this position need to be physically fit as the job entails a degree of physical work. Most importantly the successful candidate will need to be highly motivated and enthusiastic, and have a passion for delivering good customer service.

Hours of work will be on a rota basis to meet the demands of the business. A full clean driving license with a minimum of 12 months driving experience is preferential.

CUSTOMER SERVICES TEAM MEMBER

Dudley Zoological Gardens are looking to recruit Customer Services Team Members to work as part of our busy admissions and retail team.

Educated to a minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in Maths and English, with previous customer service and cash handling experience essential.

Duties will be varied, to include operation of the chair lift, assistance with car park management, face painting, and hosting children’s birthday parties including small animal handling.

Relevant training will be given where required.

Hours of work will be on a rota basis to meet the demands of the business and will include weekends, weekdays and bank holidays as required.
