Zoo bosses presented Chris with a certificate and gift vouchers for his initiative in setting up the zoo’s Justgiving page to help us raise vital funds while we’re closed during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Over the last month we’ve been overwhelmed by your support and generosity and to date we’ve seen more than £9,000 donated – and it would be a fabulous testament to Chris if we could pass the £10,000 milestone today!

Every penny raised during the lockdown period will be spent on our 1,600-strong animal collection, who are continuing to receive the same continuous daily care from our dedicated keeping staff.
Notable achievement awards were also given to Adam Walker and Jodie Dryden.
