Coffee, cake and Castle Hill
Our ‘Coffee, cake and Castle Hill’ event is returning this Thursday (Feb 26)!
Following the success of the coffee morning over the last few months, which were originally subsidised by the UK government, through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, we’re pleased to be able to continue the events ourselves once a fortnight.
As before, the free coffee mornings will continue to run from 10.30am – 12.30pm, but will just take place every other Thursday in the Tecton Room off the Safari Shop and will still include hot drinks, cake and biscuits.
There may not be a guest speaker at every event, but a member of zoo staff will be available to provide updates on the ongoing work of the zoo.
DZC Conservation and Development Coordinator, Jack Williams, said: “I am genuinely proud of Coffee, Cake and Castle Hill and I’d like to say Thank You again to the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and Dudley MBC for enabling us to deliver it.
“We wanted to find more ways to engage the wider community with the history and nature surrounding Castle Hill and we’re thrilled that people have responded so well.
“The programme has yielded great results against its set objectives, including 60.1% of attendees reporting that they felt more connected to others, which is wonderful news!”
