Classifying critters

Thirty pupils from Spring Vale Primary School in Wolverhampton discovered who’s who in the animal kingdom when they visited DZG.

The Year One class took part in a Let’s Classify workshop in the Go Wild! Theatre, where Presenter Pam Midwood introduced them to a range of creatures from different taxonomic groups, where the children were encouraged to use their observation skills to work out which species belonged in each group.

During the session, the youngsters met some of the Discovery Centre’s critters including a salamander, chinchilla, snake, cockroach and macaw.
