Celebrating carnivores!
We’re set for a grrr-eat February half term as we celebrate our carnivores!
Join us for our Teeth, Jaws and Claws event from February 18 – 26, when visitors can discover more about some of the meat-eating species we have on site, from our littlest meerkats to our big cats.
Our daily talks programme, led by our Education Team, will be shining the spotlight on a number of carnivorous animals, including our tigers, lynx, sea lion and wolverine, where you’ll also be able to discover more about the carnivore conservation projects, we’re proudly involved in.
Elsewhere across the 40-acre site young visitors can discover how much food our carnivores can devour in one sitting and take part in a paw-trail by looking for giant spray-painted paws outside enclosures.
Guests will also be able to measure themselves up against a silhouettes of carnivore species and take part in carnivore focused activities and crafts running each day in the Discovery Centre between 12pm – 1pm and 2pm – 3pm.
Plus, we’ll be challenging people to see if they can jump as high as a snow leopard or a binturong in our bell-ringing game.
And don’t forget we’ll still be handing out free return tickets throughout the week to all full-paying visitors!
We hope you’ll join us!
