The 11th century Dudley Castle at the heart of the zoological gardens provided a picture perfect backdrop for ‘royal’ visitors today!
Nursery children from Glynne Primary School, in Kingswinford, celebrated the end of their turrets and tiaras term topic by visiting DZG for the day dressed as kings, queens, knights, princes and princesses!
Nursery teacher, Faye Groves, said: “The children loved visiting the castle. We did castle-themed activities in the courtyard and completed a castle quiz, which I’d put together and some of the children even climbed to the top of the tower.
“Fancy dress made their day extra special and the children really enjoyed visiting the animals wearing their costumes.”
