Castle under Christmas wraps!
DZG’s Castle Creatures is literally under Christmas wraps and even Santa can’t peek!
Work is well underway on the new interactive medieval experience within the 11th century Dudley Castle, which will explain its history and house animal exhibits to show how people lived in close proximity with species, such as rats and bats, as part of everyday life.
But from tomorrow, Santa moves in to his Winter Wonderland Castle Grotto until Christmas Eve and to avoid spoiling the surprise it’s all been covered up.
DZG Media and Communications Officer, Rachel Hickman said: “We’re all excited about the new experience, which is taking shape and looking fantastic within the castle.
“Because we don’t want to spoil the surprise for anybody until the big reveal at Easter, we’ve temporarily covered over the huge board game flooring and all the interior walls and not even Santa was allowed to have a peek when he arrived to oversee final preparations to his grotto.”
